Privacy policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This page explains what personal data the Quotes Lover site (quotes-lover.com) processes, why we process it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. You do not have to give us any personal data to read the site.
Who is responsible for the data
The operator of the site and of the personal data is Ciprian Zaharia. For any question about your data, write to us at [email protected].
What data we process
Browsing the site
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which receives your IP address and your browser's technical data to deliver the pages and to protect the site against attacks. Our application's technical logs do not contain your IP address, only the page requested, the result and how long the request took.
Searches
When you search the site, we save the search term, without your IP address or anything else that identifies you, to show popular searches. Search terms are deleted after 7 days. The most searched terms may appear on the site, so please do not enter personal data in the search.
Quotes sent through the form
The "Submit a quote" form asks for the quote text and, optionally, the quote's author, its topics and your name. The quote stays pending until we check it: if we reject it, we delete it; if we approve it, we publish it and it stays on the site. The name in the "Submitted by" field is meant to be shown publicly next to the quote, so do not enter a name you do not want published.
To stop automated submissions, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser and receives your IP address. We do not ask for your email address and we do not keep your IP address.
The quote text is required: without it, the form saves nothing. The other fields are optional.
Cookies and advertising
Our site does not set cookies for visitors. The cookies on the site belong to the Google services described below.
Google AdSense
We show ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. The vendors and ad networks that may serve ads on the site are listed in the consent message, in the partners list, where you can also reach their pages.
To learn how Google uses data from its partners' sites, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Google Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to measure how many people visit the site and which pages they read. For visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics is not allowed to store cookies until you give your consent in the consent message.
The consent message
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see Google's consent message, where they can accept or refuse cookies for advertising and analytics. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from the "Privacy and cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.
If you refuse these cookies, you can use the site the same way. Google may still show you limited ads, which do not use personal data for personalization, and Google Analytics does not store cookies.
Google decides how long the cookies are kept: the IDE advertising cookies last 13 months in the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, and the Google Analytics _ga cookie lasts 2 years. The full list is on Google's cookies page. You can delete cookies at any time from your browser settings.
Legal bases
- Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the GDPR) for advertising and analytics cookies and for the quotes you send us.
- Our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) in running and securing the site, in protecting the form against automated submissions and in search statistics.
Who we share data with
Data reaches Cloudflare (hosting and Turnstile), Google (AdSense, Google Analytics and the consent message) and, through Google AdSense, the advertising partners listed in the consent message. We do not sell personal data.
Cloudflare and Google may transfer data to the United States. Both companies are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023, and they use standard contractual clauses for transfers that decision does not cover. You can find details in Cloudflare's privacy policy and in Google's data transfer frameworks.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing and to data portability, and the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interest. For any of these requests, including deleting a quote you sent or the name shown next to it, write to us at [email protected].
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (www.dataprotection.ro).
We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects concerning you.
Right to object
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing of your data based on our legitimate interest (Article 21 of the GDPR). Write to us at [email protected]. For advertising and analytics cookies, you can withdraw your consent at any time from the "Privacy and cookie settings" link in the footer of the page.
Changes
We may update this policy when the site or the services we use change. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
